If Only I Had Digital Cameras When I Was a Teenager

Facebook is so amazing.  I recently made connections with people I haven't seen since I was 15 years old! When I was young I spent my summers in upstate NY at different Bungalow Colonies with my family. In my teens we stayed in Monroe, NY at a place called Blueberry Park Bungalow Colony (remember the movie Dirty Dancing?) I remember when I was 12 years old (1969), I wanted to go to the Woodstock concert.  I saw all the older teenagers walking along the road but of course my mom wouldn't let me go. I recently scanned old photos from my 1971/72 photo album and posted them on Facebook. We plan on having a reunion in the future. Here's a photo of me (in the middle) with my good friends Laurie and Barbara. After posting these images on Facebook I received some very nice comments. Here's one worth mentioning:
Norman Steinberg: 1/12/10 "Of all the pictures I have seen so far, your pictures are the best in bringing back the vibrancy and fun of Blueberry.  Scary that I knew all the people in them.  Today it is hard to remember the people I met yesterday.  These pics are very special.

  2. Stumbled upon this while looking up Bungalow colonies of the 60's and 70's. I recognized you as well as my day camp mates of Laurie and Barbara. I still have the camp picture of that year. I was at Holiday Hill across the road. I was Sharyn Bernstein then. I also recognize Andy C and Shelly and her brother. Such great memories. So happy for your success.
